Álvaro Sicilia is a professor in the Department of Education and a researcher at the Health Research Centre at the University of Almería, Spain. His main research interest focuses on the analysis of physical education and sport from a pedagogical and socio-psychological perspective, especially in the youth population. Over the last 20 years, he has also researched and published extensively on motivational processes related to exercise adherence, body image and exercise addiction.
