David Grecic is the Professor of Sport and Physical Education and the Head of Research and Innovation for Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Central Lancashire, UK. With a PhD focussed upon how learning concepts impact sports performance he developed this theory to co-create the C.A.R.E. curriculum which promotes holistic programmes to support pupil and athlete development. David leads several research units including the Institute for Coaching and Performance (ICaP), the Centre for Applied Sport, Performance and Physical Activity (CASPAP), and the Centre for University Physical Education and Sports Training (CUPEST). Within these research groups David oversees a range of projects undertaken by his team and over 80 PhD level students with schools, universities, sports federations and professional sports teams. His university role is based around building research partnerships, sharing knowledge, and helping improve outcomes for all those involved.
