Marina Đelić
Biography
Marina Đelić is an associate professor in the field of medical
physiology, exercise physiology and sports sciences. She was born in 1980, in Smederevo,
Serbia. She began her academic career at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of
Medicine, where she earned a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree in public
health, PhD degree in endocrinology and exercise medicine, all with the highest
honors. Also, she is a pediatric specialist. Since 2006, she has been a member
of the Laboratory of sports medicine and exercise therapy at the University
of Belgrade, Faculty of Medicine. Her research interests include sports
science, applied medicine and child development through different intervention
strategies. She is actively involved in research and has participated in scientific
project of Ministry of science Republic of Serbia as well as numerous Tempus
and Erasmus plus projects („Sport
Professions: Education, Employment, Development in the Balkan Region-SPEED“, “Connected
4 Health”, Erasmus mobilities projects). She has published her work in more prestigious
scientific journals and regularly participates in international conferences in
her fields of interest. Together with works in the field of sports sciences, she
is author in 5 chapters in books, over 50 papers published in full in journals
from the JCR list and in the Medline database, with over 300 citations and an
h-index of 11.
